What this web site is about.

  First let me introduce myself, I am Steve Wyatt, 51 years old.
My first adventure into the world of the internet was www.2havefun.com and it became a web site that was too big for one person.

www.places2havefun.com's mission is to not have only one person building it. It wants to ask for your help

When was the last time you took a break from life and went out and had a really good time?

Places to have fun's main mission is to be your guide to all interests and places that you enjoy and have fun doing.

Places 2 Have Fun's Plan

My vision is to be a foundation for ALL of you to share your thoughts and suggestions on fun activities to do and the best and safest places to have fun.
The levels of how you can share your thoughts on "places to have fun" range from just leaving a comment about a particular article, photo or section even, to being the owner of a section, with an agreed commission of all revenue earned in that section, most breakdown of lease rate will be 75/25%

By providing individual sections of all fun based topics pertaining to having fun, and all on one Web Site, it will save you time looking for the fun things to do, and giving you more time enjoying it!

What Places 2 Havefun has to offer

Currently I have searchable databases of Restaurants..(almost a 1000), Recipes..(38,000), plus including several too small as of yet to list today.

The beginnings of having fun sorted by States, Community/Regions, Enjoying a night on the Town, Activities/Interests, Song Lyrics, top places to visit, off the beaten path fun places.

Directory of Flea Markets accross the country, with the ability to leave your comments about it.
In progress is a facebook/myspace similar style community building ability. With features such as more small focused groups of people enjoying one particular area, topic or interests only. One site I have found is Locations and information on where past Presidents Gravesites are. Travels sites that provide great information will be welcomed to have links to their web sites here. One of a few sections that I am currently wanting to recruit members for is a Travel Plaza resource directory.
Having been a person who has traveled the roads of this country, there are great travel plazas and there are alright to very poor ones. The structure of this directory I believe should be done by interstate & highway first then by state. Adapting google maps into the ability to plan a road trip, our goal will be to aide you in finding the best get out and stretch your legs stops along your trip.

Are you a Facebook fan?

  • One of the features of places2havefun.com is to have a similar content community like facebook and myspace, but kept to a more localized interest groups directory.
    Examples..
    • This very soon won't be in the example list, but in an active list
      Are you a Yard Sale, FleaMarket Fan? Consider, that there is a community you can join with others that have the same interest, this community will have the features like the other communities, plus some added features, one being smaller oriented and a more localized group of people, 2nd being no extra bells and whistles (do you notice very slow loading pages on other web sites?) well, this is because of the huge amount of traffic at any given time.
      Consider yourself at a meeting, concert, or other event, and while you are trying to enjoy where you are, right beside you is another fun thing going on, with 100's of more going on all around ya.

      Here at Places2havefun.com our desire is to provide a community of neighbors, that can provide a much more detailed base of information pertaining to that particular interest/topic.

    • These groups will also have the ability to have a member based online store,
      explanation being, if you are a member of the community "Local music bands of Illinois" along with having a calendar abilty of announcing places they will be playing at, there maybe also be the ability to post CD's or items for sale.
      This still needs testing, but looking to have the ability to post items for sale in a large setting of items for sale but only able to be purchased in a one on one ability.
